Installation Guides

How to mount, wire, connect and test your Induxora battery, with inverter communication settings for home systems.

Before you start

Read the user manual for your model first. It has the cable sizes, torque values, breaker ratings and DIP switch tables that this page refers to. Work with the battery switched off, and use a qualified electrician for connections to your home’s electrical panel.

Get your manual

Step by step

The same seven steps apply to every Induxora battery. Model-specific values are in your manual.

  1. 1

    Unbox and check

    • Check that the model and nominal voltage on the label match your inverter or charger.
    • Compare the accessories with the packing list in the box.
    • Do not install a battery with a damaged case, swelling or leaks. Contact us instead.
  2. 2

    Prepare tools and stay safe

    • Insulated tools, a torque wrench, a multimeter, insulated gloves and safety glasses.
    • A DC breaker or fuse between the battery and the inverter, rated as the manual specifies.
    • Remove rings and watches. Never let a tool bridge the two terminals.
  3. 3

    Mount the battery

    • Follow the notes for your product line below: wall bracket, stack base or rack rails.
    • Choose a dry, ventilated spot within the operating temperature range.
    • Keep the clearances shown in the manual so the battery can cool.
  4. 4

    Connect the power cables

    • Switch the battery off and open the inverter DC breaker before you touch any cable.
    • Use the cable size and terminal torque given in the manual for your model.
    • Follow the polarity marks, then confirm polarity and voltage with a multimeter before closing any breaker.
  5. 5

    Set addresses for parallel batteries

    • Charge each battery fully on its own first so their voltages match.
    • Set a unique address on each battery with its DIP switch, using the table in the manual. The master battery talks to the inverter.
    • Link the batteries with the communication cables and use equal-length power cables to the busbar.
  6. 6

    Set up inverter communication

    • Plug the communication cable into the master battery and into the inverter BMS port.
    • Select the battery protocol in the inverter menu. See the inverter table below.
    • No communication cable? Use the open-loop settings from the manual instead.
  7. 7

    Power on and test

    • Power on the battery, close the DC breaker, then start the inverter, in the order the manual gives.
    • Check the indicator lights or the app: state of charge shows, no alarms.
    • Run a small load first, then build up to full load. Hot-plugging cables with the system on is not allowed.

Mounting notes by product line

Where and how each type of battery goes.

Wall-Mount 48V

Hangs on the included bracket. Best for garages and utility rooms.

  • Fix the bracket to concrete, brick or structural studs that can carry the battery weight in the spec sheet.
  • Keep the battery upright, indoors, out of direct sun and away from heat sources and fuel.
  • Leave the side and top clearances shown in the manual so the battery can cool and you can reach the ports.

Manuals for this line →

Stackable 48V

Modules stack on a base unit. Add capacity without wall work.

  • Place the base on a flat, level floor that can carry the full stack.
  • Stack and lock each module as shown in the manual, and do not exceed the maximum stack height.
  • Anchor the top of the stack to the wall with the anti-tip bracket where one is supplied.

Server Rack 48V

Standard 19-inch modules for cabinets and larger systems.

  • Use a 19-inch rack or cabinet rated for the combined weight of all modules.
  • Slide each module onto rails or shelves and secure the front ears with screws.
  • Keep cabinet doors vented and leave space between modules as the manual describes.

Wall-Mount 24V

Same mounting as the 48V wall-mount, for 24V inverters.

  • Confirm your inverter and charger are 24V systems before you start.
  • Fix the bracket to a structural wall that can carry the battery weight.
  • Keep the clearances shown in the manual on every side.

12V & 24V Deep Cycle

Drop-in batteries for RVs, vans, boats and small off-grid systems.

  • Secure the battery with a hold-down strap or bracket so it cannot move while driving or sailing.
  • Set every charger, DC-DC charger and solar controller to a LiFePO4 profile, or to the custom values in the manual.
  • Check the manual for the maximum number of batteries in series and in parallel before you build a bank.

Inverter communication setup

For 48V home batteries. Closed-loop communication lets the inverter read the state of charge and follow the BMS charge limits.

Closed loop (recommended)

A CAN or RS485 cable runs from the master battery to the inverter BMS port. You select the battery protocol in the inverter, and the inverter charges by the BMS request.

Open loop (voltage mode)

No communication cable. Set the inverter battery type to lithium or user-defined and enter the charge and cut-off voltages from the manual. State of charge is estimated by the inverter.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Do I need a communication cable between the battery and the inverter?

Not always. Many inverters can run the battery in voltage mode (open loop). A closed-loop CAN or RS485 connection is recommended for home systems: the inverter then reads the real state of charge and follows the charge limits set by the battery BMS.

My inverter does not detect the battery. What should I check?

Check that the cable goes into the battery port marked for the inverter, not a parallel link port. Confirm that the cable pinout matches the inverter port, that the right battery protocol is selected in the inverter menu, and that the master battery address is set as the manual shows. If it still fails, send us both model numbers and the firmware versions.

Can I connect batteries of different ages or capacities in parallel?

Use the same model and batteries of similar age where you can. Before connecting batteries in parallel, charge each one fully on its own so their voltages match. Contact support before mixing models.

Can I charge the battery in freezing temperatures?

LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below freezing. The BMS stops charging at low temperature to protect the cells, and resumes when the battery warms up. Check the spec sheet for the exact charge and discharge temperature range of your model.

Can I install the battery outdoors?

Check the IP rating and operating temperature in the spec sheet for your model. In most cases a dry, shaded, ventilated indoor space such as a garage or utility room is the best place.

Should a professional install my home battery?

For home energy storage connected to your electrical panel, we recommend a qualified electrician or solar installer. Local codes and permits may apply, and some utilities require it. See the warranty policy for installation requirements.

Need help with your installation?

Send us your battery model, inverter model and a photo of the wiring. Our engineers will help you finish the setup.
